F.A.Q
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q Are the different coloured pots of glue all the same?
A Yes, they are just different sizes.

Q Is the varnish required for all projects?
A It is advisable, if the item that you are covering, is going to be washed or put outside,
otherwise, a coat of glue, when you have finished sticking your patches on, will make it nice and shiny.

Q Do I need to use the Decopatch brushes?
A Yes, you do get a smoother finish with them.

Q Can I use other types of paper?
A Not really. Decopatch paper has been especially designed to be very strong and supple, when used with glue,
it produces an amazingly smooth and almost "painted" effect.

Q How many designs of paper should I use on one project?
A It depends what effect you want to create. Decopatch can be applied in many different ways,
just using one paper for a plainer effect, or making a patchwork with perhaps 3 or 4 papers.
You can also make borders, or cut out individual patterns and place them in an artistic way!
There are just so many ways to create new works of art, let your imagination go wild!!

Q Do I cut or tear the papers into pieces?
A Papers can be cut or torn, but you will find the smaller squares are more easy to cut.

Q What size do the pieces need to be?
A This depends on the size of the object to be covered. The smaller the object to be covered
the smaller your pieces should be. e.g. for a very small animal or box 1/2 cm square is about right.
Larger items, such as large animals or furniture, will require larger pieces, but 5cms square, probably
is the largest that you can easily handle.

Q What types of object are suitable for decopatching?
A Wood, metal, glass or china, basically any object with a good smooth, hard surface.

Q Can I come to see the products somewhere?
A Yes, we are based in Lewes and our Decopatch products are in Revive All at the Needlemakers
in West Street.

Q Do you go to any craft fairs or shows?
A Yes, have a look on our EVENTS page to see where we are going to be next.

use the products here, if you would like some help. Our club is very informal, relaxing and FUN!!
